Join Uncle Gavi from the Darkinjung LAC for a walking tour of the Bulgandry Aboriginal Place Kariong. The tour involves the story of the creation of the 7 language groups. We will then depart for Somersby Girrikool Water Falls for a walk looking at bush foods and plant uses.

Casual dress, comfortable walking shoes and please bring your own water, sunscreen and hat.

The walking tour of Brisbane’s key city heritage sites will be led by Scott Richards, urban planner, historian and cultural heritage consultant at Urbis with more than 25 years’ experience. The tour will include a one hour walk through key heritage locations in the heart of Brisbane, where Scott will discuss the unique and vibrant history of the city.

Following this, we will enjoy an exclusive tour of the historic Parliament House, followed by drinks, refreshments and a chat on Parliament’s balcony.

An event that is definitely not to be missed! For planners and allied professionals, both young and more experienced, this will be a great opportunity to meet and network.

Nestled amongst the Adelaide Park Lands, Lot Fourteen is emerging as a visionary neighbourhood of global innovation, entrepreneurship, research collaboration, cultural activity, bold ideas and creative thinking. The former Royal Adelaide Hospital site is being transformed to create high-value jobs across technology driven industries and become the future location of the Entrepreneur and Innovation Centre and Aboriginal Art and Cultures Centre.

This walking tour will take delegates through the Lot Fourteen site and provide historical context, details of the current planning and construction process and insight to the future vision. This tour will be hosted by Renewal SA and include updates from Renewal SA and the City of Adelaide.
